RSMSSB has finally released the scorecard for Patwar 2021 after the normalization of marks. The Patwar 2021 exam was held on 23-Oct-2021 and 24-Oct-21 in 4 shifts. The question paper of the 4th shift was comparatively tough than the other shifts. Whereas the question paper of the 1st and 2nd shifts was comparatively easier. This provoked rage among a lot of students and the demand for normalization grew higher and higher. Finally, on 13-Dec-2021, RSMSSB released a press note declaring that the process of normalization will be undertaken before releasing the Patwar 2021 result. On 25-Jan-2022 the result of Patwar 2021 came, in which the list of candidates selected for document verification was released. The board has called twice the number of students for the given vacancies. After the document verification, the final list of the students will be released who will be given posting as Patwari.

Impact of normalization:

The scorecard released by RSMSSB on 22-Feb-2022 has invoked mixed reactions among students. Normalization of marks has been beneficial for students with comparatively tougher exam shifts. For them, the normalization of marks is a justified decision by the RSMSSB board. However, the students who have scored good marks earlier are seeing a decrement in marks due to normalization. This process has definitely shattered the dreams of those candidates who scored good marks according to the official answer key. But, as of now, this was the only way to do justice with the students with tough exam shifts. I personally think that in near future the board must balance the level of questions in all the shifts so that the process of normalization is not required at all.

Good news for candidates:

There is also good news for candidates who are near the cutoff but they have not cleared it. There are high chances that after the document verification, the revised list will be generated by the board because there will be many non-joiners. If we see the Patwar 2015 recruitment, the board released the revised list of candidates in which students scoring near the cutoff were called for job offers.
